Q & A with Ava: My Journey at NorthPoint Pets
What brought you to NorthPoint Pets? Tell us about your background.
I was drawn to NorthPoint Pets because of its philosophy and approach to pet care. I also have a lot of pets, and my dog, Chloe, is the pickiest eater you’ll ever meet. I’ve always wanted her to eat healthier, but figuring that out has been a challenge. Since joining NorthPoint, I’ve learned so much—and I know I’ve barely scratched the surface! It’s been amazing to use what I’ve learned to improve the health and well-being of my own pets.
Tell us about your pets!
Right now, my furry family includes Chloe, my Springer Spaniel, and Lucy (aka Lulu), who’s a Bichon-Shih Tzu mix. I also have Buddy Love, my 11-year-old cat, who will always be my baby no matter his age. And I’m currently fostering a cat named Optimus Prime, hoping he’ll settle in with the rest of the family so I can officially adopt him!
What do you enjoy most about working at NorthPoint Pets?
I could say my co-workers, but to be honest, my favorite part is getting to meet all the pets you bring in! I absolutely love being able to pet dogs all day, and sometimes I even get to meet a cat or two. So please—bring your pets. Seriously, bring them!
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I love to draw, crochet, and read, but I also enjoy driving around with music blasting. I’m always down for a spontaneous road trip or just hanging out with good music and good company.
What’s something you’ve learned while working at NorthPoint Pets?
I’ve learned so much, but one of the most valuable things has been figuring out how to manage my cat’s vomiting issues. If you’re dealing with something similar, RUN—don’t walk—and get the Adored Beast Gut Soothe probiotic. It has been a lifesaver for me, and I’ve noticed a huge improvement! I also discovered that my cat probably has a chicken sensitivity, which I never would’ve figured out on my own.
